Article directories are great but lets not forget about niche article directories. I am a little biased admittedly (run a shopping article directory known as ezineshopper), however whenever I am building links to say a finance website I will get links from all the top sites like goarticles, ezinearticles etc but I will also put the time into finding a long list of niche article directories in the finance sector as these will provide more relevant links.
